Privacy Policy

1. What data do we process?

Depending on your contact or rental, we may process your name, email address, telephone number, business or venue name, message content, rental location, rental and return time, transaction details, payment status and technical data. PowerUp does not normally receive full card details; these are processed by the payment service.

2. Why do we use this data?

• to provide a rental and process payment;
• to register release and return of a power bank;
• to handle complaints, malfunctions and refunds;
• to follow up demo requests and business contacts;
• to prevent fraud and misuse;
• to comply with legal obligations.

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on performance of a contract, legal obligation, consent or our legitimate interest in safely managing the service and answering enquiries.

3. Service providers

We share only necessary data with providers that assist with payments, hosting, forms, station management, IT and administration. They may process data only for the agreed service and under applicable privacy rules.

4. Retention

We retain data no longer than necessary. Demo requests are generally retained for up to one year and support reports for up to two years after closure, unless an ongoing dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention. Financial and administrative records are retained for the period required by law.

5. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. No digital processing is entirely risk-free; please report suspected misuse to us immediately.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your data and object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. We may ask you to verify your identity before actioning a request. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

7. Cookies and local storage

The website does not use advertising cookies. Your language choice may be stored locally in your browser. Technical service providers may process necessary connection data to operate the website and forms.
