POWERUP
Terms & Conditions
Version dated 22 September 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply to every rental and use of a PowerUp power bank and station. By starting a rental, the user accepts these terms and the price displayed before payment.
2. Rental price and reservation
- The rental price is €3 per hour.
- At the start, the payment service may reserve up to €20 on the payment method.
- Total rental costs are always capped at €20 per rental.
- Once €20 is reached, the rental price automatically stops increasing.
- No separate fine or additional fee above the €20 maximum is charged if the power bank is not returned.
- If less than €20 is due, only the actual rental price is charged. Releasing the remaining reserved amount may take some time depending on the bank or payment service.
3. Rental and return
The rental starts when the station releases the power bank and ends when a compatible PowerUp station registers its return. The power bank remains PowerUp property and should be returned after use. The user must check that the station confirms the return.
4. Safe use
Use the power bank only as intended and with its built-in connectors. Keep it dry and away from fire, strong heat and unsupervised children. Do not open, pierce, modify or repair it.
Stop using it immediately if damaged, extremely hot, swollen, leaking, producing an unusual smell, smoke or sparks. Disconnect the device, avoid unnecessary contact with an unsafe power bank and call 112 in case of immediate danger. Report the incident to PowerUp as soon as possible.
5. Malfunctions and availability
Report malfunctions or incorrect payments through customer support. PowerUp will try to resolve reports promptly but cannot guarantee that a power bank or empty return slot is always available at every location.
6. Liability
PowerUp is liable where required by law. Liability for indirect loss is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by a defective product. Damage caused by misuse, intentional damage or ignoring safety instructions may be charged to the user where legally permitted.
7. Complaints
Submit your name, contact details, rental location, date and a short description through the support form, support@power-up.world or 06 24 75 51 15.
8. Law and changes
Dutch law applies without affecting mandatory consumer rights. PowerUp may amend these terms for future rentals. The version available when a rental starts applies to that rental.
